My years as a wedding and lifestyle photographer have given me a keen eye, deep professionalism and creativity. I shoot in cities ranging from the Monterey Bay Area to Santa Cruz and surrounding areas, as well as the South Bay (Los Gatos, San Jose, Marin County, San Francisco and Mill Valley), and the East and North Bay (Fremont, Oakland, Berkeley, Napa and Wine County).

Allan was an answer to a prayer! My husband was recently diagnosed with brain cancer, and we’d also had a trip with friends on the books to Napa Valley. The poignance of the timing of this celebratory trip amidst a time of incredibly difficult medical and emotional journey was not lost on me, and I wanted to surprise my husband with a photo session of the two of us at one of the local wineries to celebrate our love, resilience and dedication to one another - in sickness and in health. Allan responded within an hour of my sending out the request, and not only did the images from previous sessions speak for themselves but I was immediately impressed by Alan’s professionalism and compassion. I should add here that having previously worked for a gifted family portrait photographer that I tend to know what style of images and editing finish I gravitate towards. As such, I highly value the investment in “the Right” photographer and if I love the work then I’ll make it work in regards to pricing and any logistical elements. I had a feeling Allan would be a superb choice upon seeing some of his other works, and I assure you he exceeded my expectations. If you’re wanting to work with a professional photographer who can truly capture the grandiosity of an idyllic location balanced with the intimacy of a portrait session and come away from it with images you’ll want to have printed to hang in a wall gallery *as well as* those picture perfect moments you will feel proud to share amongst friends, loved ones and total strangers on social media - book with Allan.

We hired Allan for our engagement shoot first, we had never done this before, he was super helpful directing us towards poses that we both feel comfortable and good about. Later we hired Allan again for our wedding photos, of course it was a chaotic day, but Allan was very efficient, captured many lovely candid moments, and very professional, helped us with some formal portraits that we'll cherish forever. Both times the photos turned out lovely and we enjoyed very much working with him!
