Ray has been teaching my 8 year old child drums, all virtually, for about a year. It has been a truly wonderful experience. Ray is easy to schedule with, is exceptionally professional in the lessons, and is always responsive to my thoughts, questions and concerns.
Ray can read my kiddo really well (despite having never met in person) and senses when he needs more explanation or structure...and when he needs a minute to get wiggles out or just bang on the drums to be able to refocus. I've been exceptionally impressed with how Ray modifies basically any song my son asks to learn so that it is doable at his level.
I feel exceptionally fortunate that we found Ray as a teacher and wholeheartedly suggest him to those looking for a drum teacher.

Ray is a great teacher; he has great ideas, he watches and listens, gives super supportive encouragement and inspiration. He builds up confidence and skills in a wonderful, intuitive way. He suggests you bring music you like, and he is so experienced that he can break down anything to a level I can manage. He’s the best! I recommend him to friends & fellow musicians.

Ray is an extremely sharp and experienced drummer with a very friendly demeanor. He is really good in communication about classes and the work expected of me. I feel excited to continue learning knowing that he is versatile in so many different music styles, that I can pursue any direction I like.

Ray is a fantastic and clear teacher. I can’t recommend him more. He also teaches my friends son and is excellent with young kids and beginners. Whatever your level is, he will push you to be better.
