Doors
My name is Kairat, and I am an immigrant from Kazakhstan. In my home country, I operated a manufacturing venture specializing in the production of sophisticated minimalist-style interior doors. Our manufacturing processes prominently featured components sourced from Italian firms such as AGB and Krona Koblenz, with aluminum being a widely employed material. It is unfortunate that such doors have not yet attained widespread popularity in the United States, unlike in Europe, where they are highly regarded for their refinement.
With an inherent inclination towards perfectionism, I am accustomed to meticulously attending to every detail. While acknowledging the significance of efficiency in work, my unwavering commitment to quality consistently takes precedence. Regrettably, since relocating to the United States, I have observed several deficiencies in both door installations and the doors themselves, which have left me disappointed. Allow me to elaborate on them:
The notion of retaining the door frame and merely replacing the door leaf is fundamentally flawed. This approach often exacerbates existing issues, particularly concerning the imperfect dimensions of doors, which commonly exhibit slight twisting. Adjusting the door to fit the frame, necessitating trimming in width or height, typically leads to further complications. The likelihood of achieving a perfect fit in its new location is notably slim. Should you choose to pursue this method, I am available to offer assistance to ensure optimal execution.
I have noted a prevalent oversight among many local door installers regarding the alignment of the door frame's uprights with the door leaf when closed. The failure to ensure perfect parallelism places undue stress on the hinges, resulting in a diminished door lifespan. Identifying this issue is relatively straightforward: any discernible movement of the uprights towards the hinge side when the door is closed may indicate a structural problem.
Circular door handles are aesthetically displeasing and ergonomically suboptimal.
Door opening limiters affixed to the hinges, in my estimation, are wholly inadequate and warrant legislative prohibition.
