If in doubt, read my experience… Honestly, I was hesitant to hire Bella’s Team because I didn’t see the face paint examples that I was looking for on her page but she had great reviews. It was my son’s first big party and the first time face painting. It was important to me that the artist was good because I really wanted him to like it. Bella was so nice and very responsive. She happily sent me examples of what she could do. It was exactly what I wanted. Although she was a little more expensive than some of the other face painters, I felt ready to book her. I really liked her. I was sad to discovered that she was unable to be my artist because she was busy that day. She assured me that her team could do it so I paid. I got Vicktoria. I LOVE Vicktoria. She arrived early, set up and started face painting even before my time started. She was AMAZING! She did such a good job and the kids LOVED her. She took on any challenge the kids threw at her. I mean it was a different design for almost every child. I’m not exaggerating when I say EVERY CHILD got their face painted. I booked 2 hours thinking that I probably only needed 1. Keep in mind I have been to A LOT of kids parties. Face painters are popular but they are a sideshow of sorts. Probably only a fraction of most parties will get their face painted. Vicktoria was the star of my party. I had to add an extra hour because I didn’t want any child to not get their turn. Poor Vicktoria didn’t have any breaks. She was SO SO SO AMAZING! At the end of the party, when it was time to leave, a few kids went up to her and asked if she could fix their face paint because it was smudged or they rubbed off part of it. She didn’t complain about the time or try to rush out. She was so sweet to them and fixed every one of them. She even completely redid another’s who cried and ruined her face. All the parents loved her and want her at their parties. I was not the only person surprised that EVERY child wanted their face painted and that she was so good. My son did not want to take his face paint off at the end of the night. When I spoke to the other parents, they all said the same thing. Everyone wants Vicktoria to come back. Just amazing!! I never write reviews especially long reviews but I had such an awesome experience, I had to. Thank you Bella and Vicktoria!"See more

We knew we made the right choice with magician Jonathan Molo for my son’s first birthday. From our first correspondence, he was prompt, personable, and easy going. When he arrived at our party, he was both professional and charismatic. He performed close up magic throughout our party and amazed all our guest, young and old, newbies to magic and magic enthusiast. Everyone was stunned, amazed, and entertained. Then his stage show was truly MAGICAL. He performed illusions and slight of hand that our guests continue to talk about. Our guests shared that his performance was their favorite part of the party. We had a Friday night wedding reception at a renowned steak and seafood restaurant in Long Beach attended by 85 guests. Since our actual wedding was 3 weeks earlier, we chose a giant happy hour format. Steve's magic was indeed magical as he worked the tables. A barbershop quartet also worked tables at the same time at the other end of the room. They worked together seamlessly and the crowd was entertained wonderfully. It is Steve's magic however, that everyone is still speaking about today. A fantastic performer!!!

Bob performed a magic show at our annual non-profitÂ’s holiday party in a smaller private venue for a group of around 40. The performance was very well received from our diverse membership base that was entertained equally by the magic and comedy. In addition to the show, Bob walked the room and performed card tricks to our members at no additional charge. Bob was great to work with; he proactively communicated, arrived punctually and was a consummate professional all around. BobÂ’s style complements well may different environments and crowds. I highly recommend Bob for a great show!

Being a new to Thumbtack and unfamiliar with its processes, I was a little wary about hiring a magician from the site for my son's magic themed 1st birthday party. Despite my initial reservations, I went ahead and booked Todd Reis for the event. From the initial filling out of my information on the Thumbtack website, all the way through to the end of his performance, the experience with Todd Reis and Thumbtack was seamless. Prior to the actual date of the party, Todd was readily available to answer questions via email. He showed up on time to the event, was highly professional, and truly entertaining. Since I wasn't sure about how this service worked, for those who are also in the dark, the series of events went as follows: *First I chose what kind of performance I was looking for, & filled out information which included the price I was willing to pay for a performance/service. *Next, I received offers from various performers/magicians to complete the service at/around the price I quoted. *After reading reviews and weighing the pros and cons of each profile, I clicked a link on Todd's profile to hire him for the event. *After a few more questions about the details of the event, he was booked. I was not required to pay a deposit, but I paid in full by cash at the event. *Todd showed up on time and ready to go! He walked around and mingled with the guests as he wowed them with various magic tricks. I would hire him again through Thumbtack in a heartbeat!
