Re, guitarlessons last spring. Regretted decision to go with CMS over a private instructor:
I very rarely submit negative reviews, and to wit I've waited almost a year to do this one. But I feel it's important to share with you a warning on CMS's small print: Read it and know that ...
... you will be charged fully for lessons that you and the instructor agree to postpone if he is logging the time, and you may also be charged for lessons that the instructor was logging as canceled when in fact the two of you hadnt even spoken.
Also, even if you're an adult and have work travel and other commitments that pop up -- you are still on a timed schedule for lesson completions, and those lessons auto-renew.
I paid at least $253 (maybe more) last spring for about 2 hours of lesson time (3 lessons total). Most of this cost was for lessons the instructor was logging to CMS as 'canceled by client' over the ~two or three months I was paying CMS.
CMS declined to meet me in the middle to resolve the charges nor with making up the "canceled" sessions. The end result is that not only was I out a pile of money for scant lesson time, but:
I did not learn to play guitar and in fact barely got past the basics with this instructor. That is the bottom line, and why this is a one-star review.
