I recently had McLane Electric Inc. install an EV charger for my Ford Mustang Mach-E, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the entire process! From start to finish, they were professional, efficient, and detail-oriented. First, I have to highlight Irenea’s outstanding customer service. She was incredibly responsive right from the get-go, answering all of my questions and ensuring that everything was in place for the job. I really appreciated how quickly she got back to me and made sure we had the correct permits and materials lined up before any work began. It’s clear she’s committed to doing things the right way. On the day of the installation, Allen and Jonathan arrived on time and immediately got to work. They were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They made quick work of the installation, and I was surprised at how fast they were able to complete the job without compromising on quality. They took the time to explain how the charger works, showed me how to use it, and even made sure I felt comfortable with the setup before they left. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with McLane Electric Inc. The job was done right, all the necessary permits were handled, and my new EV charger works perfectly. If you’re in need of an electrician, especially for EV charger installation, I highly recommend McLane Electric. They made the entire experience seamless and stress-free!

The staff was very helpful and nice,but the $125hour minimum was over kill for the 2hr it took to do job. How is a client to know how long it will take.

We appreciate your concern and it is understandable to have questions or concerns. We are a reputable contractor performing electrical work with licensed state certified electricians who are safe, professional and knowledgeable. We also do not know what we are getting into on any given job as there are unforeseen circumstances which affect the difficulty, complexity and completion of the job. These are not always known or relayed to a contractor so we have to account for it. We also have drive time, material acquisition and some overhead to consider for each project. We were straight forward with our minimum service charge up front which is not actually very high considering the current inflation and fluctuation of the market. Pricing Information for Journeyman Wireman Services Hourly Rate: $125.00 per hour Minimum Charge: 4 hours Working Hours: All work will be performed during normal working hours of 7:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Other Important Information: No Hidden Fees: The hourly rate is all-inclusive. Bulk Booking Discounts: Contact us for details on long-term projects or special packages. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We begin with an initial discussion to understand the customer's needs and provide a quote. Upon contract agreement, we schedule the work, ensuring all materials are prepared. We carry out the work as planned, maintaining regular communication and quality checks. Upon completion, we conduct a final walkthrough with the customer to ensure satisfaction and request feedback.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
McLane Electric, Inc. is a Licensed and Certified Electrical Contractor. All electricians receive training and have California Certifications. (Certified General Electrician State of California Department of Industrial Relations) OSHA Training: Basic hazard awareness training programs for workplace safety. NFPA 70E: Electrical safety standards for workplace practices. First Aid and CPR Certification: Life-saving skills training for emergency response. Forklift Certification: Training for safe and compliant forklift operation. Scissor Lift Certification: Training for aerial lift operation safety. Boom Lift Certification: Training for the safe use of boom lifts.
