Mason was excellent! The work we needed was time sensitive and for a rental property out of state, meaning we not only needed to find someone who could do the job, but also show up on time, have good customer service (tenant was home), follow instructions, clean up after the job, and communicate clearly and quickly — Mason was all of that and more. We needed an official receipt and Mason was great at sending that right away, the same day. It’s hard to find good work + responsible people these days, and we’re very glad we found Mason! We will definitely be hiring his services again in the future.

Mason was responsive to the questions and concerns I had about a smell in a restroom in the middle of my home with no window. He used his gadgets to visually test the walls and fortunately did not find anything. He made a few recommendations to the upkeep of the exhaust, vents and walls. All these free of charge as he did not find any mold. I appreciate his time as his inspection has given me peace of mind. I would not hesitate to recommend his services.

I had a concern about potential mold, I had scheduled an appt with Mason to come out. He came out to the property right away and took a close look and what was going on. I was so happy my problem wasn’t mold. I would highly recommend Fresh Start. They are prompt and knowledgeable. They care!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, I want to see the issue in person to get a better scope of the work. I will be asking questions about the past issues, present, & more. Once that’s done, I will get a bid together, & explain the process whether it’s in person or in the bid itself.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am certified by MICRO which has IICRC standards. Certified in: - CMRC (Certified Mold Remediation Contractor) - CMI (Certified Mold Inspector) - CHST (Certified Health & Safety Technician) I also have 9 years of experience in damage restoration including remodeling & reconstruction.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was 19 years old (8 years ago), I had started in damage restoration, & eventually I worked my way up to project manager. After awhile, I decided to do my own thing. Now, it’s been almost 4 years since I have, & I enjoy providing good & honest service to my clients.
