1. Quote process: Brayan came to quote kitchen counter polishing, sealing, and repair a deep crack in the granite. He also quoted polishing and sealing our travertine floors. We received a formal, type written quote by email that day.
2. Product Knowledge: Brayan really seemed to be knowledgeable about all things stone. First, we said the likely cause of the crack was water seeping in between the granite layers where it meets the sink. He replaced the cauking. One company that quoted us said the granite crack could not be fixed and quoted us an entirely new countertop - for $6.5k
3. Service: two arrived on time on two consecutive days - the first was for the countertop, the second for the floors. They covered areas that might get splatter or damaged, and moved furniture - being efficient, polite, and exceedingly clean in the process.
4. Result: the granite crack was filled with color-matching epoxy and finished smooth (no ridges or bumps). We two particularly dull areas of the granite on either side of the sink. At the end of the first day, they asked my wife to approve work and she commented that she was hoping they could polish that area a bit better. They next day, they spend a good amount of time focusing on those areas and while not perfect (it was never going to be) it was very will done to the point you'd have to be looking for it to notice. THE FLOOR was amazing. We had surface stains, gouges, tiny scratches and just an overall dull finish. They shined and protected everything beautifully. Every time we walked around the house we said - "can you believe how good floors look!".
5. Recommendation - DEFINITELY have HBC Stone out to bid on your project. Could not be happier with the speed, professionalism, and results.
