FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our Pricing Approach: Honest, Transparent, and Without Surprises We believe that trust begins with openness. That’s why we always clearly explain how the cost of our services is calculated. Below are the core principles behind our pricing: First of all, we want to clarify that we don’t visit clients just to provide an estimate. Since we charge by the hour, it’s difficult to predict in advance how long a particular project will take — each job is unique and comes with its own specifics. All details can be discussed via text, which serves as a written confirmation of our agreement. However, if the client insists on an in-person visit, we charge it as one hour of paid work. 1. Hourly Rate The base rate is $60 per hour for one technician. If a team is required — for example, a technician with an assistant — the rate is $60 + $30 per hour. If two professionals are working, the rate is $60 + $60 per hour. This rate includes not only the labor but also our experience, efficiency, and a quality guarantee. This pricing applies to simple tasks such as assembling furniture, mounting shelves, or hanging pictures. More complex projects — like ceramic tile installation, deck repair or restoration, and house painting — require professional skills, experience, responsibility, and specialized tools. These jobs are discussed separately with the client and are priced significantly higher. 2. Minimum Visit — 2 Hours We understand that each project is unique. However, whether the work takes 15 minutes or 1 hour and 45 minutes, the minimum charge is two hours. This covers fuel costs, advertising (including the Thumbtack platform), and the tools necessary to ensure quality work. This approach helps us maintain a consistent level of service. 3. Materials — No Markups We do not profit from materials. You will receive receipts from Home Depot or other stores and only pay the actual cost. If we use our own materials purchased in advance, they are billed separately at market prices. We are always open to communication. If you have any questions about pricing, the scope of work, or other details — feel free to reach out. We value your trust and always aim to leave behind not just quality work, but also a great overall experience.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I carefully listen to the client to fully understand all their wishes and requirements. Then I analyze the request and provide a personalized solution with a transparent pricing offer. I’m always open to communication and respond promptly to any questions. Once all the details are agreed upon, we schedule a specific date and time to carry out the project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My journey in the construction industry began in my youth, giving me a deep understanding of design principles from an early age. Along the way, I also gained valuable skills in event coordination and team management — from staffing to overseeing creative project workflows. Over the years, I had the privilege of learning from true masters — experienced designers and builders — which helped me refine my spatial awareness, master the balance between aesthetics and functionality, and develop a sharp eye for quality craftsmanship. The combination of technical education and hands-on experience allows me to confidently take on both standard and unconventional tasks. When you choose our team, you’re not just hiring a service — you’re investing in quality, reliability, and results that exceed expectations.
