- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
To begin with, I will discuss the clients expectations and need with them. If necessary I will give them a postural analysis to pinpoint any issues they may be having so I can better understand and work with their pain. While I work I will repeatedly ask if the pressure I am giving is enough or too much. Many of my client see me with the expectation of suffering through the pain of the massage because they know that immediately afterwards they will feel immense relief. However that is not typically something I give to first time clients. It is usually better for a new client to become acclimated to the deeper work before they get a true deep tissue massage.
