- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rate is $300/hr unless you have legal insurance. I accept U.S. Legal Services. If you only need help with forms, I can act as your Legal Document Assistant - if we have this type of arrangement, I will not represent you in court.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After a client calls me to schedules a free 30-minute consultation, we will discuss their legal issues and get a general overview of your options. Anything past 30-minutes is charged at $100/hr. I will then advise client based on my knowledge and experience, and if needed, research the law. Once retained, we conduct an intake gathering all the documentation you have at that time and send you home with a homework list to gather more documentation for your financial disclosures. My process is very personal and you will soon become well acquainted with the staff and my self. You pay us to help you through the procedural process, forms, and to help ease you’re mind in the various outcomes from court. We help keep you in control during an emotional time in your life.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from UC Hastings, College of the Law. This is one of the top law schools in the nation. Further, I passed the bar on my first attempt. I received the top grade in many of my classes. I have attended many family law classes, I am a certified family law mediator, I practice collaborative divorce to help families remain on friendly terms, and I am studying for the certified family law exam. I am dedicated to learning all aspects of family law.
