Josh was amazing. I can not recommend him enough. My husband and I hired him to rebuild our back deck. Big project as the deck wraps around half our house about 1000 sq ft. He was skilled at what he did, got it done quickly, and took time to really make sure it was quality work. Needless to say the deck is BEAUTIFUL! My family and I will be enjoying this deck for years to come.

Josh was amazing to work with. Being a new home owner I took on the project of starting my deck myself and was way over my head. Josh was able to come out here and save me big time. The quality and knowledge he brings was the big part in how beautiful our deck turned out. I was attempting to build a subfloor system for my new Jiu Jitsu gym and needed help with the construction. A friend referred us to Josh since he had some experience building subfloors at other gyms. Right from the start he took not only took command of the project, which really reduced my anxiety. He also made a strong personal impression. He would walk in everyday with a smile on his face. Easy going and personable, he became instant friends with everyone from our gym that assisted on the project. Although the project presented many difficulties, he seemed to revel in the challenge, like he was solving a puzzle. He consistently went over and above the original scope of work and the quality of his work vastly exceeded all of my expectations. I was absolutely delighted by the finished product. It is difficult to find someone with his blend of reliability, temperament, likability, skill, and craftsmanship. Without reservation, I highly recommend Josh for any project.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Most of my education has come from practical experience. Mistakes can happen, that’s how we learn, but it’s important me not to make the same one twice. I use my network of skilled tradesman when I need advice and I’m not shy about it. All the information you need is available if you’re looking in the right places.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I landscaped our backyard for our wedding reception, then remodeled my kitchen. Had a great time doing both. A few people asked me to do projects and J McInnis services was born.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
My project at Waza Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy is my most recent endeavor into carpentry. It was a challenge but also a rewarding experience. I was very fortunate to have some very capable people involved.
