For any professional there are three dimensions how you select it judge - quality, value and speed of execution. It’s rare to find someone who can offer all three at a level that surpasses the customers expecting. Tariq has been the rare find for me, thanks to Thumbtack, who offered skill in about every aspect of construction business, single-handedly, that a general at a general contractor said they could do at minimum 4x higher cost and in 2x more time. Though it has been a few days since Tariq has finished his job, I continue to remain amazed about his work ethic, professionalism, attention to details, not settle for anything below high quality, and yet finish everything originally planned plus many things that I added to the project well within schedule. He worked alone what could have been three peoples job. His secret is his passion for what he does - that at least for my project included - electric, construction (wood, masonry), landscaping, plumbing. Here is the project before and after - he worked on transforming the shed, plus few more things beyond this picture in 1 week. I think once his visa situation is settled Tariq will be hard to get hold of because 1) he can do everything, 2) loves to do what he does and 3) money is not his primary motivation but 4) quality and impact of his work is. So grab him for your project as soon as you can while he still trying to settle in this country.

I had a few outlets not working in my home. I contacted ATA electric and Tarik responded promptly to my request. He had time in the morning and came by to look at the outlets. He then decided to come by later in the afternoon (our original appointment time) to work on the problem. He found burnt wires caused likely due to a misplaced nail on the drywall. Tarik rewired it and fixed the problem. In the process he gave me some useful tips. Overall, excellent work by Tarik and his rates are very reasonable. I will be hiring him for other electrical work in our home in the future. Highly recommend him and his company.
