Introduction
For over 15 years I've been making children, families and brides feel comfortable in front of the camera to get the best possible natural feeling in photography. I love using natural light to get editorial style photos.

Monica has shot family photos for me for years and always does beautiful work! She makes everyone feel comfortable and captures us at our best. She puts a lot of pride in her work and it shows.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Typically, a client will contact me and we'll confirm a date, and then talk through ideas for the location or the details of the location a client has already chosen. I like to discuss the feel/vibe the client would like for the finished photos. I confirm the date a few days before the session. I usually have finished edited digital photos ready in 7-10 days.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I studied journalism and advertising at the University of Kansas and worked in advertising in Los Angeles.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have always had a eye for design color and photography. I began by independently learning how to use a camera as a hobby when my children were young. Eventually, friends and family began asking me to do photo sessions for them, which turned into referrals and more work from friends of friends.
