Introduction

I have over 28 years experience in Acupuncture, Massage, Herbal Medicine, Nutritional Medicine and Dietary Medicine in the same location here in my office in old Downtown Encinitas near the beach. My focuses in Acupuncture include Electrostimulation, Cupping, Gua Sha, and use of herbal poultices and patches. I specialize in Deep Tissue, Sports and Asian Medical Massage Techniques, and have many years of experience in PNF stretching techniques. I am passionate about healing and relieving pain as quickly as possible for all my patients! My sessions usually last an hour, but you can schedule for half-hour, 45 minutes, hour and a half or two hour sessions too. Acupuncture sessions usually include some specific massage work. Much of my practice is massage only, and if you're interested, I am more than happy to discuss health issues during the session. Acupuncture treatment is $120 per hour for office visits (not including travel time for home visits). My California Acupuncture license number is AC4952. Massage sessions are $100 per hour for office visits (likewise not including travel and set up time for home visits).

I had some unexplained numbness in my foot that persisted for weeks, so a friend recommended Mark. It was my first experience with acupuncture and Mark did a great job explaining the details and minimizing the mild discomfort. Mark has treated me and my friends for 20+ years for everything from the common cold, to chronic back pain, and stabbing leg cramps. He also prescribes supplements that deal with a myriad of concerns, from acid reflex, to supplements that boost the immune system. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Acupuncture treatment is $120 per hour (includes some massage as needed). Massage treatment only is $100 per hour. Prices are valid for my office location in old Downtown Encinitas, and do not include travel and set up time for home visits.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For Acupuncture there is an intake form followed by some relevant questioning. We then engage in further discussion regarding your problems during the session. For massage, there is a brief intake, likewise followed by more in depth discussion during the session if necessary.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine 28 years ago. This is a four year, full time program. I then started working in my current location in Encinitas, focussing on Acupuncture, Herbal, Nutritional and Dietary Medicine as well as Massage Therapy.
