FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Design fees vary depending on the project and the clients needs... however, I've outlined a few examples of our fee structures below. Fixed fee (or flat fee) We will identify a specific sum to cover costs, exclusive of reimbursement for expenses. One total fee applies to the complete range of services, from conceptual development through layouts, specifications and final installation. Hourly fee/Consultation Fee - Compensation is based on actual time expended by us on a project or specific service. Cost plus; We purchases the furnishings, materials and services (e.g., carpentry, drapery workrooms, picture framing, etc.) at cost and sell to the client at the designer's cost plus a specified percentage (25% to 35%) agreed to with the client to compensate for our time and efforts. For many of the purchases we receive a designer's discount ranging from 10 to 30 % on the purchase savings which we pass on to you. Therefore, the designer's fee is often paid for by the discount. We tailor each fee structure to your individual needs after an on site consult (No charge), whatever your needs, we can tailor a package to serve your own personal needs and preferences, however big or small.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
While I am not a licensed general contractor, I can assist you with your remodel, kitchen or bathroom as long as you are in the role of 'Owner/Builder' which basically means you contract with the subs and pay them directly. I use great licensed sub contractors. CONTACT me through Design Services or I cannot respond
