FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our company strives to provide accurate and stress free quotes so that a customer knows the price of the move. We will ask for the details of the move so that we can properly estimate how long the job will take, and what the costs associated with the job will be. The best method to receive a quote quickly is to answer the template that we message to the customer, so that we can provide the right price for the move.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We try to work with a customer over messaging or phone to get the details of their job so that we can provide a quote. For small moves and piano moves, we can usually provide a quote within a few minutes of viewing the job details provided. For full house moves, we send the details to one of our crew leaders or other moving professionals to determine the estimated amount of time that the move will take. This usually takes 1-3 hrs depending on the availability of our crew leaders. We do not transport marble, fine stones, or art pieces valued over $250. If you have one of these items, please let us know before the job, as we cannot move these types of items/ cannot cover them if damage occurs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an undergraduate degree in business and economics from Wheaton College. I started my moving company six years ago during my sophomore year in college, and have since been developing my business plan, and educating myself on the best methods for moving all sorts of items. In my six years, I have moved almost every type of expert move item, whether that be a tall upright player piano up a flight of stairs, a 700 lb gun safe, a medium grand piano, or a pool table; I've done my time and learned the best methods.
