I wrote an earlier review giving J&M 5 stars. I would give 10 if possible. This is in response to a handful of people with 1 star ratings. Jairo is a master of his craft, as a result he's extremely in demand. He's hands on every project and in an effort to please everyone he can, can sometimes spread himself thin. The point is, be very patient. In this business contractors must often times commit to many more projects than they are capable of handling at any one time. As a result they have to be selective with which projects have the most most upside for them at any given time. Along side this, contractors like Jairo can also be called upon by builders for big projects. My suggestion is to be patient. If you have a small job (less than 100 square feet) understand that a contractor will have no choice, but to choose a project that is bigger and therefore pays more should there be competing timelines. Also, most independent contractors do not have scheduling assistants that are able to communicate at all times. Independent contractors are often times their own scheduling assistants, estimators, and project managers, and the actual worker. It's for this reason, people like Jairo are able to do such exquisite work for the best value possible. They lack the overhead that drives so much of the cost for the projects that some folks can't otherwise afford to get done. So for everyone posting a 1* review with project sizes less than 100 square feet, manage your expectations by understanding that contractors are very busy. It may take them 6-12 months before they find the time to take on your small project.
