We needed some work done in our living room, and we needed it done quickly on a small budget. Melinda's quote and experience fit the bill. She installed cork flooring and underlayment, a dividing wall, and a custom, hardwood, room-length threshold. She is creative, resourceful, and knowledgeable, and her ideas really helped our vision come to life. The completed work looks great! And bonus—it was finished on schedule and on budget. Melinda is truly a genius. To celebrate 10 years in my home I decided it was time to re-tile the kitchen backsplash. She made my dreams come true, working with hand made outlet store tile. She took 3 different tile sizes (& at least 6 colors) and made them fit beautifully. I'm sure this was no easy task but she made it seem effortless, like putting together a puzzle in a chose your own adventure. She is so honest, methodical & diligent in her work. I was out of town for this project and I kept telling her how much I trusted her. Throughout the process she kept in touch, continuously updating me with photos & checking in to make sure I was happy. Seriously, if you've ever hired a contractor to work in your home you know how expensive that can be but how often does the work reflect the price? Melinda was worth ever dollar & is the opposite of flaky. She did a perfect job & cleaned up after the messy project. If possible I will hire Melinda for every future project (sadly we now live in different states.) As someone with a fine eye for design & detail myself, I have to say she is above & beyond everyone else I've ever worked with. She's basically a designer, a contractor & a super lovely human. It was an honor to have her work in my home. My kitchen is midway through a budget remodel but I've attached a few photos so you can see her beautiful tile work.
