FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
When it comes to home construction, there are several important factors that customers should be aware of regarding pricing, and fees: 1. **Initial Consultation**: We offer a free initial consultation. This is an opportunity for you to discuss your project, get an idea of potential costs, and evaluate whether we are a good fit for each other. 2. **Scope of Work**: We clearly define the scope of work and specifications that you want to get done. Changes or additions to the original plan can lead to additional costs, so make sure you have a thorough understanding of what's included in our base price. 3. **Payment Schedule**: Understand the payment schedule. It's common to make an initial deposit followed by periodic payments as work progresses set forth in a payment schedule. 4. **Change Orders**: If you decide to make changes to the project after we have started, this can lead to additional costs. Make sure you know how these changes will be priced and what the process is for implementing them. 5. **Contract Terms**: Review our contract carefully and ensure it includes all agreed-upon terms, pricing, and a timeline for the project. Make sure you understand the consequences of delays and how they might affect costs. 6. **Permits and Inspections**: Be aware of the cost of permits and any required inspections. These can add to the overall cost of the project and should be factored into your budget. 7. **Quality *: A lower price may not always be the best choice if it sacrifices the quality of materials or workmanship. Ensure that you are getting a fair price for the quality you expect. 8. **Payment Method**: Discuss the preferred method of payment with Me. I accept cash checks or credit cards. 9. **Contingencies**: Set aside a contingency budget for unforeseen issues that may arise during construction. This is typically around 10% of the project cost.
