Initially quoted $550 for a fireplace/chimney sweep “deep cleaning” service which took the tech all of 15 minutes. I told him that price seemed high for the service he explained would be done. He reduced to $450, plus a 5.5% credit card fee(didn’t tell me that until it was time to pay). He said the service included getting on roof & checking the chimney, thorough cleaning of firebox and flue and spray painting the firebox. He was not thorough at all & he asked to borrow my dustpan to clean the soot and ash. He never checked the chimney & didn’t paint the firebox. When he told me he was finished I thought he was kidding. I asked what about the chimney & painting the firebox and he said that would be $99 more??
Needless to say I called the office, left message with Ken when I asked to speak with a manager/supervisor. Still haven’t received a call back.
