Phil was hilarious and kept me laughing the whole lesson while also keeping me informed about the lesson. He is also amazing with a guitar. I had my misgivings at first about virtual lessons instead of online lessons, but Phil was able to help me fix my issues with finger placement and using a guitar pick with no issues despite it being an online lesson. The platform that Phil teaches on is also very interactive with a built-in metronome to help you practice with rhythm and Phil is able to give you assignments and communicate with you all in the same platform which is extremely convenient. I am going to continue to see Phil and if you’re trying to find a guitar teacher, but you’re on the fence about receiving instruction online like I was then I recommend you at-least give Phil one session to work with you and see if you like it. I think you’ll be surprised.

The most important thing I like about working with Paul is his ability to listen to me and put me at ease. We have an understanding of what influences and styles I like. He let's me progress at my own pace. He understands that I have some familiarity with musical concepts, but also understands that I have no past formal training and my wish is to learn from the ground up. As for me I am coming from piano background and just recently I bought a electric guitar. We discussed my past and he understands this is a new beginning for me. I have at times contacted him outside of the normal lesson forum and he has always responded in a very prompt time. That for this is priceless. as far as value goes, I'm retired and I live very comfortable but that doesn't mean l don't watch what I spend. I think one would be hard press to find a better instructor for any mount of money. I was unsure if I would like taking lessons on line, but its fine. The format he uses allows face time, co it seems we are in the same space
