In looking for a company that does drywall and knock down texturing we connected with Sylvester from S&L. In providing an estimate for the first phase of our work he assured us that he could accommodate our schedule and he did. He estimated the project to take three days but it was completed in two. The crew came on time and came to work. They were professional and did excellent work. We highly recommend S&L for your drywall and texturing projects. We were not in need of painting since I paint myself. We will definitely use them for phase two which isn't ready yet.

We hired S&L to patch a 3’ x 2’ area in our drywall. He was in and out within a couple of hours and after painting the area, you can’t tell it was ever repaired. I would recommend this provider.

Sylvester responded quickly and came to the house within a couple of hours of my Thumbtack request. The price to repair some water damaged drywall was very reasonable and he could start the next day. Sylvester was punctual and professional. I am very happy with the finished product and will call S&L if I need anything else in the future.

Just moved to the area and Sylvester was very responsive to the project of removing popcorn ceilings. They did a very thorough job prepping and protecting surfaces. Good quality work and friendly to deal with, would use again for different drywall projects.

I am very happy that I got on the Thumbtack website yesterday morning and got a very prompt response from Sylvester Torres. He agreed to come out to my house yesterday evening to look at my two problem areas in person. I wanted him to see the problem areas up close rather than seeing pictures. I was able to tell within a few minutes that this man was very knowledgeable and that I was in good hands. I have previously had a few texturing jobs done that I wasn't entirely satisfied with. Sylvester knew all about potential problems with flashing. He gave me very detailed information about how he would address the texturing issue on a small hallway wall and a small texturing imperfection that has existed on a living room wall for a couple years. He also told me that he does the texturing and that his mother does the painting. He quoted me what I think was an incredible price for the skimming and texturing and for the painting. He said that he could do the texturing this morning. I hired him. He came this morning and did a beautiful job. His mother is scheduled to come in a few days to paint two full walls. I consider myself so lucky to have met this family. I highly recommend their services.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I’d give the best reasonable prices as I don’t always give the cheapest prices ether it’s based if theirs a budget or if their too much work then. The price would have too be right for both parties
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
As long as both work. with staying on topic of what’s important too the client. And get what needs done ✅ anything is possible.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’d recommend if your able too be apprentice of someone you’d know who’s already in the industry. You’d go pro as long you get licensed and insured. You don’t need a college education. But an education of anything as long as it’s of help.
