Introduction

Finding a "photographer" is simple! Finding a fun, crazy, outgoing, creative, rule bending, light sculpting, professional photographer is hard. I am here to make it easy! I am an overachiever by nature and will go above and beyond to be sure you get my best work! I am quirky and fun! Kids love me! I love to laugh, and make every shoot an adventure! I am not afraid to climb a tree to get that dream shot you are looking to hang on your wall. If you have an idea, I will run with it! We will create something amazing. I love meeting new people and experiencing their life through my lens. I love creating an everlasting memory out of a moment in time. I find it fascinating that in such a small amount of time, I make friends for a lifetime!

We had our engagement pictures taken with Leah at Old Folsom. We found her through facebook. She was so nice and accommodating. She really knew the area and had a distinct plan of where she wanted us to go. But even though she had everything planned out, there was lots of room for us to change things up and make it our own. She had awesome pose ideas, too! We could tell that she was very experienced and loved what she does. And when we got our pictures back, we couldn't have been happier with the results! All of the pictures are beautiful and perfectly capture the love in our relationship. We've gotten so many compliments on these! I'm very picky about photographers yet I like to get a deal and Leah was perfect! The quality of photographs is wonderful. I especially like that they don't look too "edited". It was a wonderful experience working with her!

I found dragonfly by design photography through Facebook in our community. When we first met we were instantly comfortable like we knew each other for years. She is very professional, knows beautiful hidden gem spots for pictures and a great easy going personality. We were very impressed with our beautiful family pictures and the smiles she got out of our children. She will now be our only choice for photos and we highly recommend her.

Leah is AMAZING! She's taken our family portraits twice and both times we had a fabulous experience. She's so friendly, was great with my two daughters (3 and 9), easy to talk to and to work with! She took amazing photos, we received the downloads super quickly and the quality is amazing. I will never go to a portrait studio or have our photos taken by anyone else ever again!

Leah has been our personal photographer since she has been in high school. We are continually impressed with the way she uses her creative imagination to come up with amazing pictures. She goes above and beyond to create memories that will last for generations. She uses her expertise and spontaneity to make sure each photograph turns out beautifully. She recently took our family reunion pictures and they turned out amazing. Her enthusiasm of what she does makes it a fun experience everytime. She truly has become a true artist.

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My Prices Start at $100 for 90 minutes, this will include a few digital files and a purchasing gallery. You are able to purchase prints and products through my website. The Average print/product purchase is $300+. Payment Plans Are Available.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first contact is usually internet based. Second, we will set up a date for meeting in person to discuss needs of services and if we are a Match then we will sign a contract to book a date. We will keep in touch via text/facebook/email planning out our photoshoot. The day of the shoot! exciting! payment is due the day of the shoot. contract, if not already, will need to be signed. My turn around is under 3 weeks on editing portraits, and up to 4 weeks on weddings. this does not include creating photo books. I will make sure that everything delivers smoothly and that the customer is 100 percent happy with the results!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in love with photography since high school back in 2002. I have taken many online courses, and studied many different styles. I am on the board of the Sacramento Photographers. Also, I have been published in The Typical Female Magazine (The Trend'n Female), WeddingFanatic.com, TwoBrightLights, and The Bump just to name a few! I am aspiring to become a destination photographer. I would love to take on the world doing what I love!
