I have been doing photography professionally for close to a decade. My prior experience is owning an art gallery and being a curator where I brought the world cutting edge documentary photography and street art (my gallery introduced the United States to Banksy, I curated his first stateside exhibit in 2002). My passion is documentary photography and video but I also work proficiently in headshot and wedding photography in both natural and studio environments. I have graduate level training in documentary work and I own top of the line gear. I can also acquire the right gear for any type of shoot as I work with several of the Bay Area's top rental houses. Quarantine special: For a limited time I'm offering single subject portraits and headshots for $75 for East Bay residents. $30 travel fee for outside East Bay. This is for a 30 minute mobile session at a location of your choosing. I bring a mobile backdrop, flash setup and all the gear necessary to get you a quality portrait or headshot. Frank was our photographer for our wedding at the iconic city hall in San Francisco. Working with Frank was a pleasure and we couldn't be happier with the results. The images he took of our ceremony and of us as a family in city hall are now cherished heirlooms. Frank was professional throughout the entire process, he was the first person to arrive at city hall (he was early) and he took a creative approach throughout, not only taking photos of the ceremony but he also took beautiful shots of the the environment and candid photos of our family going with us through the whole process. Upon completion of the ceremony Frank promptly shared with us the results which included not only the raw camera files, but a complete set of color corrected and edited photos. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is flexible depending on the type of job it is (corporate, personal, or artistic collaboration). My base is by the hour but we can also come up with a creative solution if you have an ongoing project. With video projects there are a ton of factors that go into budgeting. A conversation is always the best way to proceed.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Again, its best to have a conversation to make sure we are on the same page. On thumbtack, once you've decided you want to hire me I email a very simple agreement outlining our agreed upon terms and I collect a small deposit to lock in the date.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went through the video production department at Berkeley City College and I attended graduate school in the film and digital media department at UCSC.
