FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to meet or have a phone conversation with clients before the event or session to get to know them a bit and talk about the types of images they are seeking. If it is a large event I'll even scout the locations to discern exactly what type of lighting is necessary and discuss the schedule in detail. I try to find out what aspect of the photography is most important or what they are most concerned about so I can help create a stress-free experience.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree from the Maryland Institute College of Art, have taken several Maine Photographic Workshops as well as classes and seminars at WPPI.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began my career as a staff photographer for a publishing company then started my own business doing commercial photography. I started photographing weddings and portraits at the request of friends and family and found I loved it. I decided to dedicate myself exclusively to this industry and added portraiture not long after.
