Introduction

My piano teaching experience is deep and covers multiple decades. While I have a degree in music education from the University of Nebraska my teaching philosophy has evolved into a broad based approach that includes reading, playing by ear and lead sheet and learning basic improvisational skills as desired and as appropriate for the style of music and level of the student. I am also open to small groups of students of similar playing level level. My studio has two keyboards side by side, one digital and one acoustic. I also utilize ipad apps

Mrs. Bennett is an extremely talented pianist. She works with each student to bring out their own unique style of learning and creates a passion for music. She is very caring and has a great relationship with her students. My son has greatly benefited from being her student.

Rhonda Bennett is an extremely talented musician and pianist with very effective teaching methods. She modifies lessons to meet the needs of each student. She was able to adjust lessons for my son to the level of instruction that was necessary to meet his goals. She not only works with him on technique, but also theory, musicality, effective practicing, and building repertoire. Thanks to Rhonda’s positive and encouraging teaching style, my son looks forward to piano lessons and practices almost daily!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There will be a family discount for multiple members from the same household who enroll in lessons. Payment due date can be negotiated but must be paid within the month lessons are conducted.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
There is one free lesson/interview to confirm that student(s) and teacher are a good match.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a BS in Music Education from the University of NE. I also added specialized training in teaching adult group lessons in chord style piano, basic improvisation and play by ear skills. I taught such classes to adults in a workshop setting in community colleges and universities in WY and UT for several years.
