FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
A musician's rate is not just for the time they spend performing at your event. It is representative of thousands of hours of practice in order to achieve and maintain their level of playing, time and money spent on lessons and additional training, and preparation and/or rehearsal for your particular event.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance from the University of Washington and a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance from the University of British Columbia. Music is a lifelong pursuit. As such, in addition to practicing for gigs, I am continuously sharpening my technique, reading, and listening skills.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been playing piano since before I can remember. Beginning in elementary school, I would accompany friends and siblings at talent shows, play church services, and accompany the choir. As I got older, choosing music as a career path was an easy decision to make.
