Introduction
I have a passion for teaching and learning martial arts. I have been doing martial arts for about 23 years now and I intend to continue until I am an old man. I love using martial arts to help empower others. Everyone deserves to have the ability to protect themselves and those around them.
What separates what I teach from other styles or systems is that everything is oriented on weapons being present. We stress implementing various tools for self-preservation including firearms as well as strategies to build situational awareness. This I believe is the true way of self-defense when your safety or your family's safety is in jeopardy.
I am able to provide instruction in basic Hapkido and boxing, using various tools such as small knife tactics, cane and stick fighting tactics, and basic firearms marksmanship.
It is my passion to teach others and I hope to help you build your skills.

I trained with Mike for years and he is a great and personable instructor who works closely with all his students to teach practical and efficient martial arts and self defense regardless of your skill or experience.
Mike trained under a Hapkido grandmaster in Korea and passes those lessons on to you, along with personalized self defense instruction and even kendo! Thanks to his classes I developed the skills to defend myself in real life situations against knives, guns and multiple opponents.
He's also an all around great guy! I joined his class as a complete novice and I felt very comfortable and safe working with him. He has a very friendly, humble and calm teaching style and he did a great job tailoring his instructions to fit my needs and abilities. I ended up continuing with him for years and thanks to Mike, today I feel strong and confident that I can stand up to whatever comes my way!
I would recommend his class to any of my friends and family members, no matter their age, gender, background or goals. Thanks again for everything Mike!
