Translation: one dollar for every thirty words, including "a, an & the". Tutoring: generally $35 per hour.

Diplôme d'Études de Langue Française, Centre Chrétien d'Enseignement du Français, Albertville, France (Certificate in Practical French)
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Strictly speaking of French translation services, I first wanted to expand my French teaching via acquiring a master's degree. Then I learned that UW-Milwaukee was offering a concentration in French to English translation with their Master of Arts in Language, Literature, and Translation. It had an appeal to me as a viable career modification. I had done some translating and interpreting some fifteen to twenty years prior, but not as a vocation.
