FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
New customers receive a free 1 hour consultation at Bay View Fitness. During this time we cover health and fitness goals and history, any prior injuries or physical limitations, scheduling and pricing as well as doing an abbreviated work-out and fitness evaluation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a trainer for ten years, having held a few different certifications during that time. I am now switching certifications and pursuing the American Council on Exercise CPT. I have a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee (2005), and have returned to take additional courses in Anatomy and Physiology after graduation (2013). I have also worked for two years as an aid in a physical therapy clinic and have done dozens of hours of observation shadowing in PT clinics.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been interested in physical fitness since being a member of the track and cross country teams in high school. I started training after graduation from college in 2005.
