FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
my pricing all depends on the job and how long the jobs takes, including Raw materials, trash removal, ect.. 1. Labor Costs Wages for workers and subcontractors (e.g., electricians, plumbers). Time estimates for completion. Overtime or weekend premiums, if applicable. 2. Materials Raw materials (wood, drywall, paint, nails, etc.). Fixtures and finishes (tile, countertops, appliances). Delivery or transport fees for materials. 3. Permits and Inspections Local building permits. Fees for required inspections. Any administrative handling of paperwork. 4. Overhead Office expenses (admin staff, phones, software). Insurance (liability, worker’s comp, etc.). Vehicle maintenance, gas, and tools. 5. Profit Margin Contractors usually add a markup (10–25%) to ensure profitability. 6. Contingency A small percentage (usually 5–10%) built in for unforeseen issues (like mold, code changes, etc.). 7. Cleanup and Disposal Trash removal, dumpsters. Post-project cleaning services. Would you like a sample pricing breakdown for a specific type of project (like a kitchen remodel or room addition)?
