FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $20 per half hour lessons. My general music entertainment fee is $150 per hour, including distance traveled or providing my own equipment.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If you'd like to start your child on lessons before or after they've joined a school music group, or your child would like some extra help on a solo before contest, or you're an adult wanting to work on a new instrument, I would love to help you learn. My lesson availability is typically weeknights. Lessons can be either half an hour or an hour depending on your wants/needs. For music entertainment, the basic details are gathered first of course, and then I take song requests to learn. Otherwise I have a wide range of repertoire available on piano, voice, and flute. I also perform flute/clarinet duets with my sister, also a professional musician.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor’s degree in Music Education in the areas of General Music, Band/Orchestra, and Choir. I earned my instrumental/general degree from UW-Eau Claire and my choral from UW-Milwaukee. I have my Master’s Degree in Music Education from VanderCook College of Music.
