FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
To best understand your wishes, we will start with getting the details about you both that will help me develop the ceremony you desire. After receiving your completed “Getting to Know You” paperwork, I will begin to write your unique ceremony and customize it to make it what you both want. I also offer my services as the “director” at the wedding rehearsal to help ensure a great ceremony.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began officiating when I realized there was a need for this type of service. There are many young people today without any religious/church affiliation, and others who find themselves separated from their churches for a variety of reasons, yet they want a formal ceremony rather than a trip to the courthouse. I knew I could fill their needs by making their wedding ceremonies personal. This is not to say there is no religious aspect to the service; I prepare each ceremony to the couples’ comfort level, i.e., contemporary, traditional, with or without references to God. I have had several second-marriage couples that are blending their families and want their children involved; and I’ve been able to accommodate their needs in a meaningful way.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have officiated for young couples just starting out and others that want an intimate ceremony in the privacy of their home. There have been many couples blending their families with special ceremonies to include vows to the children.
