Hiring Julie to help me get organized was the best gift I could give myself. After helping my dad prepare his home for sale and move to assisted living, managing my own home felt completely overwhelming. Not only had I brought photos and other things from his house, but I was feeling overwhelmed by my own stuff. Decluttering is simply tedious and it’s not always easy to make decisions about things that hold sentimental value, but Julie made it possible to let go. Best part? Julie takes all the unwanted things away - to recycling, for donation or to trash. It’s one less thing on my to-do list. And knowing everything is managed mindfully which helps eliminate the guilt of waste. Having someone in your home is very personal. Julie is trustworthy, kind, thoughtful and reliable. My home looks better and I feel lighter after working with her.

I really enjoyed the opportunity to work with Julie at Tidy into Joy. Together she and I worked on organizing and illuminating items in my home. She guided me to feel comfortable letting things go and she made it easy by delivering them to Good Will for me! I feel lighter each time she leaves and excited that my papers, pictures and crafts each have a place that is easy to find! The work at times is challenging as I let go of treasures I’d saved for years but I found telling Julie stories about what we found actually helped me to send them on! Julie’s positive attitude and gentle questions helped me to make good decisions and feel comfortable freeing my home of unnecessary clutter! I have a few rooms to go and will definitely bring her back to continue to lighten up our load!

Phenomenal experience working with Julie. I specifically want to highlight Julie's approach through the KonMari method, in that her approach was very efficient and centered around the creation of a home that is filled with joy. Before reaching out to Tidy Into Joy, I was overwhelmed with clutter due to a recent move across country along with downsizing into a new space. Julie was able to quickly facilitate turning my home into the sanctuary I envisioned. I found it very beneficial in the way she helped me develop the organization systems, breaking down overwhelming tasks through tips and techniques that I will surely use in the future. I highly recommend hiring Julie and Tidy Into Joy!

In just a couple sessions after a recent move, Julie helped me accomplish an amazing amount of long overdue minimizing and organizing. She matched my pace and provided assistance and suggestions in a kind and nonjudgmental manner. She shared a few new-to-me tips and techniques that I’ll continue to use in the future. By the end of each session a major weight had been lifted both figuratively and literally, as she loaded several bags/boxes of donations into her vehicle to drop off at a thrift store on my behalf. I highly recommend the valuable service Julie provides with Tidy into Joy.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    We will start with a quick phone chat to understand what you're looking for. Then I'll either visit in-home or do a video chat so I can get a sense of the space. After this, I'll send a project proposal and invoice through. Upon receiving payment, we can get started!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I am a certified KonMari® Consultant, trained in Marie Kondo's method of tidying. The philosophy I use is to help clients decide what to keep, so that they can gratefully let go of the rest.
