About
Throw Me a Bone, LLC is founded upon the Christian principles of honesty, excellence, commitment, diligence and kindness. I take a holistic approach to dog training by using gentle, force-free methods, as well as employing a relationship-based philosophy. Training should be an enjoyable experience for both you and your dog. Good leadership and clear communication will earn your dog's trust and respect and help them to feel secure. The best place for training to begin is in the home, where there are less distractions, triggers, and stressful, overwhelming situations. I bring my dog training expertise to you, where we can customize the process to meet your specific needs. I own two, wonderful shelter rescues, Kaiah and Oliver, who often assist me with those struggling with dog to dog reactivity. I am passionate about educating people and helping them to see the world through their dog's eyes. I would be honored to partner with you and your family. My desire is to make a genuine difference in this world, serving and encouraging people by means of dog training. Through God-given gifts and talents, I am privileged to have the opportunity to help improve and save lives. I enjoy working one-on-one with people and helping them better understand and communicate with their dogs, deepening their bond. It is so rewarding and truly blesses my heart when I see situations completely turn around with just one or two visits. The shelter dogs have a special place in my heart, as well, because they often have had a rough start to life and require a little more empathy and understanding. Dogs are very predictable beings (when you understand dog psychology), so the majority of my work is in educating people. In addition to being an animal lover, I am a people person and enjoy the social interaction.

We reached out to Kristi after reading the many glowing reviews she had. One of the biggest issues we had with our rescue dog was that he was fearful of my husband and people in general. We struggled with training him and were looking for someone to train US just as much as our dog. 😊 Kristi was incredibly responsive from the moment we reached out. She gave us advice before she even came for the first session! Kristi clearly cares about dogs, is knowledgeable and is open to finding new ways to help. When our dog was too afraid to even come close to her for training, she brought in life size stuffed dogs to help our dog feel like he was “part of a pack”. We let him watch us pet the stuffed dogs, pretended to have them eat etc. It was amazing to watch how quickly our dog responded and started changing his behavior based on what he saw the other “dogs” doing! We would have never thought to do that if it hadn’t been for Kristi! She is awesome-we are so thankful we found her!

My husband and I really enjoyed working with Kristi. We liked that she came to our home so we could work with where we deal with our dogs everyday , not in a store or building. Kristi was calm, kind but firm with our dogs and was at our home for over 4 hours. Kristi is available for questions and concerns after the training and for follow up visits which we will be doing when our schedules permit. I would highly recommend Kristi. Susie & Rich

Kristi is so patient and knowledgeable. She made sure I understood everything before she left. I have lots of literature and homework. Kristi is very thorough. My new rescue has never had any training and doesn't know how to function without a constant human companion. We have seen such an improvement in just 24 hrs that I know it won't be long before our fur babies get along, and Buffy learns to be a dog. Turns out we needed training as well. Kristi has been in constant contact to make sure all is going well. Such a blessing!

We couldn’t be happier with our experience! After the first visit our little Yorkie Margo knew 4 commands! We went ahead and scheduled an additional training session to learn some more advanced commands. We would absolutely recommend Throw Me A Bone to any dog owner.

Kristi has been wonderful, offering valuable training for our new puppy along with practical tips for dealing with some issues that our older dog has as well. We appreciate her patience and dog training experience and would highly recommend her to anyone in the market for dog training!
