Ultimately, this is a practice of getting to know yourself, through yourself, to heal yourself. It's incredibly empowering when you realize that you hold the key to deep healing.
I've always had a passion to work in the mental health industry. As someone who personally struggled with mental health, I knew that my life’s work was best served helping others find peace and ease through their own personal struggles. I currently hold a BA in psychology and have 3 years of experience working side by side with therapists assisting in client treatment plans. My 1000 yoga teaching hours, 500 of which are therapeutic private services, with a focus on trauma-informed care, have been a true honor to offer as my passion is helping others discover their own innate tools to heal. I’ve been a certified Yoga Instructor since May of 2018. I received my 200 hr certification from YogaSix in Milwaukee after falling in love with this practice myself. My journey to a regular yoga practice rooted from a deep need for change in my life. I was combating anxiety, depression, I was 50lbs overweight, and overall felt lost in my purpose. Finding my yoga practice transformed the way I viewed and engaged with life.
My foundation and interest in movement began with years of gymnastics. I spent the last decade devoted to running a gymnastics center, and have always been interested in the body mechanics involved in intricate movements. I’ve always had a love for movement, personal awareness, and growth.
