- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I keep my pricing reasonable compared to most contractors. I’ve had many deck owners tell me that large companies gave quotes that were nearly a significant fraction of their home's value—sometimes 4x what I quote! My prices reflect high-quality work, but I don’t have the overhead of larger companies, which helps keep costs down. I focus on delivering high-quality work, not rushing through for quantity.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to start by getting to know you and your project! Construction can be confusing, so I find it helpful to chat by phone or email to understand your vision. Then, I review pictures of the project area, visit in person, and work together to create a plan of action. From there, I provide a detailed quote for the work. I like to build relationships, not just decks.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Over the years, I’ve trained with several professionals on the job. I have years of hands-on experience in deck building and related construction work, which gives me a solid foundation to tackle any project of any scale.
