FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $70/hr and usually have a 4 hour minimum for most small projects. Estimates are always free.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
15+ years in various trades. Trained in finish carpentry but handy with all the trades. If I can't do it, I'll point you in the right direction with an educated recommendation.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Started as a teenager working for my uncles stone masonry company in Alaska. He also had me work on building his home, so I was exposed to all facets of home building from the ground up. After that I was employed as apprentice finish carpenter throughout my early 20's. Also built out and ran my own food truck in Seattle for 4 years. When the pandemic shut us down in 2020, I pivoted back to my construction roots and started The Mountain Handyman. In late 2024 we have since expanded to the east cascade region.
