My four year old is playing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on Violin! How awesome is that? I am learning myself, and find Denice's teaching style very enjoyable. She is very patient and positive. I and my son always look forward to our lessons with her. A+++!

Working with Denice has really helped my daughter grow as a player. Denice pushes her to reach her potential and has gotten to know my daughter’s strengths and challenges. This enables her to fine tune her instruction to maximize the results. Suzuki method is the BEST and the twice monthly group classes are a wonderful bonus. My daughter didn’t know anything about fiddling when she started taking lessons from Denice, but quickly took to the style and has enjoyed the more relaxed, fun, rhythmic nature of the music. Fiddling contrasts and compliments Suzuki method/classical music to enhance my daughter’s overall musical knowledge and ability. In my opinion, if you are serious about learning violin or learning alongside your child while they learn violin, Suzuki method and Denice Carter are for you.

Denice is a genius at teaching children from her many years of experience. My children are not only learning violin, they are learning valuable life lessons from her. I also take lessons from her and her ability to put into words exactly what I need to do to learn the step I'm working on is magical.All children and adults who want to learn violin should have the privilege of being taught by Denice.

We’ve been with Denice and Carter Suzuki for 7 years - we started when my son was 4. I think it is amazing that through learning the Suzuki Method my son can just hear a song and figure out how to play. He’s learned how to read music. He’s developed the courage to perform in front of a crowd and the compassion to support others when it is their turn, which has translated into him stepping into leadership roles in his school classes. The skills he’s learned from Denice have translated in so many positive ways in other aspects of life: confidence, discipline, problem identification and solving, empathy.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Tuition is paid monthly, in advance. You are billed on a flat month rate regardless of whether there are 4 or 5 weeks. One year commitment is required and deposit is held until the 13th month. Deposit is waived with full one year payment.Discounts are given for referrals. Rates are determined by lesson length.You may choose 1/2 hour, 45 minute OR 1 hour slots. Group classes for Suzuki students are provided at no additional cost! Rates: Wood Shed Studio flat monthly - $132,$198,$264 NO GROUPONS PLEASE!!!!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If new to the violin I have a organized and detailed system for building a strong technical and creative foundation. For those already familior with the instrument I start by assessing ability and interest to taylor our session tword specific goals and needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Omaha Suzuki Talent Education Association. Denver Talent Education. Studied privately with many Texas Style Fiddle Legends.
