FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first thing I do is get to know them. What are their interests? How do they learn best? What are their goals? What do they want out of taking private lessons? The next step is assessing their experience and overall ability, and where I can help them most.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.A. in Music, with an emphasis in Vocal Performance from Southern Oregon University. I have 23 years of experience in professional training; performing as a professional choral singer, concert soloist, and on the operatic stage; competing, and teaching voice privately. I am also an active member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS).
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started teaching privately in 2012 from the practice rooms in the music building on a hunch that I would enjoy it and had something important to offer. To this day I continue to expand my knowledge and skills and those of my students.
