Dear Jack, Thanks for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry your experience didn’t match your expectations. But I’d like to add some things that are also worth mentioning. Our Terms of Agreement section on our contract is relatively short and to the point; it’s about half a page. There are 7 bulleted points on there where we mention what we’re not responsible for. One of those bulleted points clearly states: “any damage caused by the nailing of the shingles; per the Malarkey warranty, contractors are required to use nails to adequately install your shingles. These nails will come through your soffit material and into your attic.” We believe in being transparent with our clients, and you were provided with a detailed proposal (terms of agreement included) before any of the work was done. Had the contract been read more closely there was a chance for your concerns to be addressed earlier. We also provided you with a completion certificate. In the Customer Certification section, it states: “the Customer acknowledges personally inspecting the work... and that all of the work/and or materials have been satisfactorily completed or delivered as contracted. The completion certificate was signed. Our work then officially being done. A couple of days later you expressed your concern, and despite us having officially completed our work at your home, we sent our painter out there to do touch-ups. The nails being clipped ended up not being a feasible option as the nails were not protruding out enough for any tool to be able to clip them. We always aim to deliver a great experience, and we are gutted when we don’t meet expectations. Thanks for taking the time to leave us an honest review. We will use this as feedback to make us better and to ensure that we are more clear with customers, so that this doesn’t happen again.
