FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is based on the square foot of the wall and the level of detail the mural is painted in. Most of my murals range between $20-$30 per sq/ft.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new client, I like to first chat over the phone to hear about their vision for their mural project. After that I set up a time to meet in person and see the space where the mural will be. Seeing the space helps me visualize how I can help bring their vision to life in their specific space. I give the client a quote based upon the size and level of detail for the mural. If the client wants to move forward, I send them a Mural Commission Agreement document to sign, which explains the exact pricing, all of the logistics of the mural making process, and what they can expect from me during the process. After that I block off dates on my calendar for the painting of their mural and I get to work creating designs and mock-ups of the mural for the client to tweak, edit and approve. I never start painting a mural until my client is fully happy with the final mock-ups and design. Before painting, I prep the area well by taping off walls, putting drop clothes on the floor and cleaning and priming the surface so that the mural is vibrant and long lasting.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my Bachelor's Degree in Studio Art and Graphic Design, and over a decade of experience in designing and painting murals and commissioned art.
