As the head tutoring and manager of Tutoring Solutions, I have an AS in Engineering, BTh (Bachelor of Theology) in Theology, and DD (Doctor of Divinity). My tutoring experience can be described by the following information. Over the past 11 years, I have had the opportunity to provide supplemental education in the form of tutoring in a variety of settings with all grade levels and college level subjects. I have provided one to one tutoring and group tutoring at homes, schools and tutoring centers. The subjects for which I have provided academic assistance range from all grade level courses K thru 12 such as Math (including Geometry and Algebra I & II), Language Arts, Reading, Science and Social Studies. Along with these, I have provided tutoring in the higher level math and sciences such as Calculus, Chemistry and Physics. My experience with various populations of students is broad. I have worked with students that are academically challenged, high performing, at-risk and have special needs. One population of students that I had the opportunity to provide academic instruction was in a GED program at a tribal TANF. I led and managed a team of tutors to provide Adult Basic Education through one to one tutoring and class room instruction. I have had great success with students in the following subjects: Basic Math, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, SAT and ACT Test prep. However, I am also capable of providing tutoring in subjects related to the previously listed subjects.
