Leash the Muttro Pups offers Specialty Boarding, Doggie Daycare & Grooming services at our brick and mortor facility. We also offer dog walking and in-your-home-pet sitting outside the building. We are equipped and prepared for special needs dogs, dogs with medical conditions, dogs who need to remain separated from other dogs as well as your average fido who just wants to play or be social. We have roomy specialty suites, as well as regular kennels. We have furniture specifically meant for dogs to climb all over and lounge around on. Leash also offers a variety of training options from group classs to private lessons to board and trains! We help bridge the gaps of communication and understanding between dog owners and their dogs. Taking a compassionate and patient approach to every dog and its owner, we will reach outside the box for effective solutions to individual problems. We hired Angelica (the owner) on March 9, 2020 and paid a $300 non refundable deposit. The quarantine happened right after that date and then I had a baby due in April. So we are at June when she messages on the 12th. I let her know that we needed to start in July but she got sick and said she would be ready on the 21st of July. We made a second payment of $425 (that was refunded later). Now it’s August and we don’t hear anything. I message her on August 20th and let her know that we had to move across country. She says let’s get some lessons in...we agree on 28 August 28 August-she cancelled because of a childcare issue...we then agree to do Monday Wednesday and Friday for two weeks. 31 August-she was late because of traffic-I get it. She showed up and let us know she will NOT BE WEARING A MASK because it was hot. I had let her know we needed stroller training for our dog, which means a baby. My husband and I both wore masks and of course my newborn could not so I had to walk across the street from the two of them. She also came with a “demo dog.” She had some other dog in training while she watched my husband walk our dog. This lesson was done in 10 minutes. She said she will have things typed for us to work on...it should be in our inbox by night. Received this a week later. 2 September-cancelled for a client dog emergency. Rescheduled for Saturday morning. 4 September-cancelled for car issues. Says she will try getting a trainer for everyday the next week. 5 September-no show. We message requesting a refund because the week she was trying to have “a trainer over everyday” our mover were coming to move us to the East coast. At this point we have paid $725.00. $300 non refundable deposit. She refunded $425. And we hadn’t heard anything back from her about 1.) The two more lessons 2.) Why she did not show up Saturday 3.) Why we have not receive the training instructions. At the point of this original review, $300 dollars was not going to be refunded because we would be moving. She cancelled until we were moved. She refunded our $300 per arbitration with thumbtack support. I edited my review (my suggestion so I could get my money back) per the arbitration with thumbtack.

Angelica is incredibly responsible and communicative which makes her a pleasure for me (a busy working mom) to work with. Most importantly her adoration for my pups is evident in ever report and photo :) she not only takes good care of them but she works on their training very diligently.

This pet-sitter responded right away and was kind, but came very late on the day she was to care for our animals. I might be crazy, but I returned home the next day and it did not look like she had scooped the litter box or given water to our chickens at all. This pet sitter seems like a very nice person, and was very responsive, but I don't think we will be asking her over again.

Awesome experience. I have an older dog who is getting more aggressive with strangers and she managed to win him over and one dog that is much younger and a total sweetheart. She successfully help me while I was on vacation and my husband and daughter works long and odd hours. We did not want to leave them created for too long. Angelica came in with a key and walked the dogs. I really loved her app, that shared with me pictures and their adventures together. I am very grateful for her help.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All of my prices are negotiable and I will strive to accommodate all of you and your pups needs. If you need both pet check-ins & walks, I can bundle that to give you the best deal possible. It shouldn't a headache to give your pet the best possible care and you should be able to have reliable and affordable peace of mind when it comes to your furry family members. There is an occasional travel fee, depending on your location. I keep it reasonable but if you live just on the bubble, sometimes a little extra is required for the gas that is eaten while sitting in traffic.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
we start with a consultation/evaluation or a meet & greet, depending on the type of client. all new clients get a user friendly google form to fill out. training clients start with a consultation/evaluation to go over what results you are looking for and we will go over a plan of how go achieve those goals! dog walking/pet sitting clients start with a meet and greet where I meet you and your pets and we discuss what you need.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently training under CATCH to receive my training certificate and have nearly 100 hours of training under my belt. I have owned dogs for my entire 31 years and have experience with cats, dogs, horses, rodents of all sizes, fish, etc.
