FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For individual and couples therapy sessions, the cost is a flat $130 for a 53-minute - 1 hour session. Unfortunately, I do not take insurance at this time.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I start working with a new client using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), I follow a clear process to help them feel safe and supported. 1. **Building Trust**: I begin by creating a friendly environment. I listen carefully and show empathy so the client feels comfortable sharing their feelings and thoughts. 2. **Understanding the Client**: In our first sessions, I learn about the client’s background and current issues. I encourage them to talk about their emotions and relationship patterns to better understand their situation. 3. **Identifying Emotions**: I help clients recognize and explore their core emotions. EFT focuses on understanding and expressing feelings rather than just thinking about them. I guide clients to express what they truly feel. 4. **Understanding Patterns**: Together, we look at the repeating interaction patterns that may be causing problems. I help clients see how these patterns affect their emotional connections and how they can change them. 5. **Expressing Emotions**: I support clients in expressing their emotions openly. We work on developing new ways to communicate needs and feelings, allowing for more vulnerability in their relationships. 6. **Creating New Interactions**: As clients understand their emotions and the dynamics at play, I help them create better ways of interacting. We focus on starting conversations that are based on feelings to build closer connections. 7. **Strengthening Bonds**: Throughout our work, I focus on helping clients build secure emotional bonds with others. I encourage behaviors that promote trust, safety, and love, which are essential for healing relationships. 8. **Reviewing Progress**: As we move along, I check in with clients about their therapy experience. This helps them see their growth and the changes in themselves and their relationships. By the end of our sessions, I want clients to feel more in control of their emotions and to have healthier relationship patterns. This process not only helps them grow personally but also strengthens their connections with others.
