FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For regular, weekly students, the rate is $70 for a 45 minute lesson, the time length I prefer. People preferring to commit to less than weekly lessons are at the rate of $75 per 45 minute lesson.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The introductory lesson is one where we find out what the new student is interested in. We introduce some voice exercises, see if our goals are compatible, then make a plan for the future.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied Musical Theater in New York City, and graduated from the Evergreen State College with an emphasis on music and education. I have studied privately with some of the best voice teachers on the planet, and incorporate their techniques along with my own flavor. Serving as music director for the largest producer of staged review shows in the world provided me with unparalleled experience in working with professional singers. Training and directing non-audition choirs (Seattle's Open Voices and The Seattle Lesbian and Gay Chorus) has given me the ability to help even those who believe they can't sing. I am currently the Acting Music Director at Westside Unitarian Universalist Congregation in West Seattle. I love what I do.
