FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Voice Lessons: Prices are $90 per each individual hour lesson, or $80 per if you pay monthly ($320 for 4). I also offer half hour lessons at $50/$45 Students paying monthly will be responsible for setting up make-ups for lessons that they cancel with 24 hours notice, and after the first payment, will pay monthly via automated emailed invoice. Students have one month to make up each missed lesson. No need to make up for major holiday weeks, unless desired. Lessons canceled under 24 hours will be charged. If a teacher has to cancel, the student has the option to reschedule their lesson or have a credit applied to a lesson in the following month. No refunds. Songwriting lessons: Are the same price and scheduling~ however, if you are looking for a songwriter and composing, rates vary based on the project. I do everything from film scoring to helping write a song for a loved one.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Voice lessons: Typically, we begin getting to know your areas of strength, interests, and finding out what areas of the voice need the most attention. Then we work through the whole curriculum, making sure that the foundational aspects of singing are fully developed. Once we make sure all aspects of the foundation are sound (no tension, correct placement, steady and strong breath), then we stylize based upon whatever genre you're wishing to study. Songwriting: With songwriting, the goal is to get to know your artistic vision and begin building the sonic world you would like to settle into. We spend a lot of time talking about poetry, inspirations and then settle into ideas. Most lessons revolve around feedback, listening and are quite generative!
