FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Does peanut butter go without jelly? Well, I don't go without my camera. I always knew I would be using a camera to tell stories in some fashion. I studied photojournalism at Ohio University and continued to put myself in places and find opportunities to use my talents, which is tell stories through video.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I primarily shoot and edit wildlife and adventure documentaries for an expedition travel company. This job requires me to live and work on board National Geographic vessels for months at a time and in remote locations with harsh or extreme weather conditions. It's adventurous, educational and under tight deadlines.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently shot a 34 day expedition in West Africa on board the National Geographic Explorer. Tourism in that area does not exist and making a documentary of that was not easy. I was faced with some of the most difficult yet rewarding experiences there.
