Our hedge in the backyard was out of control and blocking our gate so I reached out to Murphy's Landscaping to cut it back significantly and trim the tops of the hedge. Donald was very prompt in getting back to me and in setting up a time to come by and do the work. His team was right on time and got to work immediately. They did an amazing job cutting the hedge back a lot and hacking off a good 3 feet from the top. My biggest goal was that I wouldn't have to do it myself for a long while and to trim down the tops which are hard for me to get to. During the job and afterward they checked in with me to make sure the work was getting done how I liked it. They did an amazing job, were professional all along, and cleaned up every leaf they cut. I am very happy that I contacted Murphy's Landscaping and it was money well spent. Thanks again to Donald and the team.

We hate to even write this review.. After spending nearly 2 hours discussing our project and what we were wanting. We had them come out and redo the red rock in our back yard. Both great guys, but the work was terrible. The plastic edging that was used is very wavy and not straight at all. After having another landscaper come out they said that this is not the correct edging for this project at all. The 2 sides don't match as far as where they meet on the brick wall. The edge was stopped short of the trellis edge, leaving rocks able to fall out onto the grass.. Yet there was a ton of left over edging left in our yard so it wasn't that there wasn't enough. To top it off.. My husband discovered, they took the tar paper that we had used on our recent shed project and used that as a weed barrier under the red rock. We never gave permission for this. The fact that they took something off our shed porch and decided to use OUR materials as a weed barrier is astonishing to us both. We never discussed nor agreed to this at all. When I questioned them about it, I was told they didn't know and thought that's what we wanted them to use? There is a huge difference between tar paper and weed paper. I had just planted 2 new trees and had he not noticed my trees would have died as well because no water can get through tar paper. My husband found that they threw their garbage in our flower box and left the remaining edging just thrown in the yard. This has been the worst experience we've had with thumbtack. I now have to pay someone else to come fix this.
